Viktor Yanukovych
Viktor Yanukovych was born on July 9, 1950 in Yenakievo Donetsk region. He graduated from the Donetsk Polytechnic Institute (now - Donetsk State Technical University) with a degree in mechanical engineering, Ukrainian academy of foreign trade. Master of International Law.
He began his career in 1969. Worked gasman Enakievo smelter, car mechanic, a mechanic motor enterprise. For 20 years he held senior positions in the road transport enterprises of Donetsk region.
In August 1996 he was appointed Vice-Chairman, and in September - the first Deputy Chairman of Donetsk Regional State Administration. On May 14, 1997 to November 2002 held the post of Chairman of Donetsk Regional State Administration, was a member of the Donetsk regional council. From May 1999 to May 2001 in combination - the Chairman of the Donetsk regional council.
21 November 2002 was appointed the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
